A significant amount of groundwork is laid before we add a slab to one of our containers.
Mike flies out, meets with suppliers, walks through material, looks at current availability, and pays attention to what feels worth bringing back to Arizona. Sometimes it means spending time with the people we already trust, seeing what they are excited about, and understanding what is actually available before everyone else is asking for it. Other times that means meeting new people and building relationships.
And yes, sometimes that also means dinner, drinks, and getting to know our favorite suppliers outside of a formal meeting.
That part matters more than people think.
